The CollabAtlas editorial board is responsible for maintaining the quality, accuracy, and relevance of catalogue entries. Board members serve as domain editors, reviewing contributions in their area of expertise.

Core Maintainers

Core maintainers own the repository, set strategic direction, and have final authority on governance decisions. They review and merge pull requests that affect platform infrastructure, taxonomies, and schemas.

Domain Editors

Domain editors are subject-matter experts responsible for reviewing new entries and updates within their domain. Each domain should have at least one active editor. Domain editors:

To become a domain editor, open an issue on the GitHub repository with the title “Editorial Board Application — [Your Domain]” and include:

  1. Your background and expertise in the domain
  2. Examples of collaborative work you have been involved in
  3. A brief statement of why you want to contribute to CollabAtlas

Applications are reviewed by core maintainers on a rolling basis.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Domain editors should disclose any affiliation with tools, methods, or organizations they are reviewing. Editors with a conflict of interest should recuse themselves from reviewing the relevant entry and flag it for another editor.
